The MRG Group of restaurants is in search of a Sous Chef to join our team at Dublin Calling. Located in Calgary, AB, this role is well suited for a natural leader with a passion for food and the connection that presenting a great meal has to the overall guest experience.

Working with our head chef, you will lead by example in service excellence while contributing to and creating a fun and safe environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Running the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef
Ensuring kitchen cleanliness is maintained and maintenance needs are communicated promptly
Health department sanitation standards are met and maintained constantly
Ordering product and a day to day basis
Ensuring product is stored properly and FIFO principles are adhered to
Ensure food quality standards are maintained
Ensure food is delivered within time standards
Lead the team with a positive and "guest first" approach
Minimize product waste
Communicate challenges to the Executive chef
Interviewing new culinary team members
Conduct daily staff communication briefings to discuss group and corporate business
