 The Position

Works with the digital, web, app, and graphics teams to develop strategies that promote Gateway properties/brands including casinos, gaming, hotels, and F&B outlets. Through effective social media management expand online audiences, increase number of followers, and improve online engagement. Develops online campaigns, contests, and recommends digital marketing strategies and tactics.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Generates, schedules, edits, publishes and shares daily social media content.
  • Frequently visits all sites/outlets to create authentic and original content.
  • Develops and manages promotions and programming to promote casino, hotel, gaming, food and beverage outlets.   
  • Aggressively promotes programming as dictated by both F&B Operations and F&B Marketing departments.
  • Collaborates with assigned teams to generate and promote programming as developed by the H.O. marketing departments.
  • Collaborates with vendors and suppliers to create opportunities to cross-promote online.
  • Develops and maintains an annual calendar of events including but not limited to: holidays, themed holidays, special events, monthly and repeat programing, and scheduled entertainment.
  • Coordinates with website and App teams to ensure that all promotions, programming, artwork, content, and information is consistent across all platforms and channels.
  • Aggressively and tactfully promotes booked entertainment on all casino and F&B social pages/websites.
  • Measures and tracks results of promotions, campaigns, advertising, ‘boosted’ posts, and online tactics.
  • Provides quarterly insights and analytics reports along with recommendations to improve online performance.
  • Diligently monitors internet, social pages, and referral platforms for company and brand reputation management.
  • Reports to the Entertainment and Digital Marketing Manager, any/all concerns related to reputation management and makes recommendations to manage negative online comments and reviews.
  • Performs routine online audits of all websites, social pages, referral platforms, and apps to ensure all ‘about’ and ‘profile’ information is current, correct, and relevant. Works with all digital teams and respective sites to update information and inform/educate sites as to proper use/management of various channels.
  • Develops a ‘How to Manual’ and monthly best practices newsletter for social media management for all of our preferred channels.
  • Manages Agorapulse SMM platform.
  • Utilizes platforms like Slack and FB Messenger to establish and maintain constant and consistent lines of communication with site designated ‘social teams’.
  • Responds to all social media messages and makes diligent efforts to increase engagement through likes and responses to posts and comments by followers.
  • Drives development of promotional materials/visual assets by coordinating with our creative agency and/or internal creative teams. Ensuring all work orders and applicable paperwork is completed in full and submitted according to established practices.
  • Ensures that site/outlet key personnel across all properties are informed and educated on any/all promotions and programming that is posted or active online

What You’ll Require

  • A high school diploma or equivalency.
  • A degree or a minimum of 2 years in digital communications, digital marketing, SEO marketing.
  • Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Adobe, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with smart phone and popular social media Apps (Font Candy, Ripl, VSCO, iMovie, Canva, Spark Post
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge of internet, digital landscape, and popular social media platforms.
  • Ability to travel to various company properties including long distance trips to remote sites.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and problem solve independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deal with last minute changes and issues.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as per operational requirements.
