As a Room Attendant Supervisor, you will maintain our high standards of cleanliness and will ensure our hotel rooms are ready for guests to unwind and relax.

This position is responsible for supervising a team of employees to exceed expectations in the area of custodial operations. The role is responsible for providing mentorship and guidance to a team of individuals to drive high performance.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for supervising janitorial activities and related team performance.
  2. Supervises, trains, and coordinates the work of room attendants. Reports any sub-standard issues to the Manager.
  3. Stays up-to-date with WHMIS; ensures adherence to health and safety standards and coordinates/participate in inspections.
  4. Adheres to Coast Hotels quality and industry standards while completing tasks.
  5. Monitors, orders and ensures adequate chemical and supply inventories are maintained.
  6. Maintains Lost and Found records.
  7. Coordinates requirements of other departments and ensures communication with applicable parties.
  8. Demonstrates superior customer service attitude with internal/external contacts.
  9. Assists room attendants as needed.
  10. Performs other duties as required.

What You Bring
  • Physical fitness to perform cleaning functions throughout the shift
  • Solid understanding of commercial or residential cleaning principles and practices
  • Solid customer service skills including ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer and supplier group
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Ability to plan, organize, and effectively manage multiple priorities and demands
  • Detail oriented, resourceful, and efficient
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills
  • Grade 12 or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in the cleaning/janitorial industry
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) training experience is an asset
