The Position

So you’ve mastered the surveillance operator role and have solid knowledge of table games. Now challenge yourself and take charge to ensure that the integrity of gaming operations are protected.


As a Surveillance Shift Manager, you will lead and work with the surveillance team and use your natural attention to detail to identify, investigate, and report suspicious activity, unusual play or deviations from internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages team performance while participating in surveillance activities
  • Trains, coaches and provides corrective feedback and recognition of individual/team accomplishments
  • Communicates with surveillance staff and management regarding investigations, and current issues
  • Maintains knowledge of BCLC/AGLC, GPEB Policy and Procedure, FOIPPA and FinTrac
  • Initiates and conducts investigations and provides timely reports


What You’ll Require

  • 2 years experience as a Surveillance Operator
  • Post -secondary degree, diploma or certificate in a related field is an asset
  • Thorough knowledge of Gateway, BCLC/AGLC and GPEB policies pertinent to casino and surveillance operations
  • Working knowledge of Criminal Code of Canada is an asset
  • Working knowledge of computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software
  • Ability to work in a dimmed, enclosed and controlled room, working in close proximity to colleagues
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Good closed, mid range and color vision with ability to focus on a computer screen for long periods of time
