Blau & Associates oversees the Food and Beverage operations at Parq Vancouver including: Honey Salt, The Victor, D6, BC Kitchen, and MRKT East. Parq Vancouver features two luxury hotels, downtown's only casino, diverse restaurants and lounges, a 30,000 square foot park with native trees located 6 floors above street level and many more amenities. An international destination located in downtown Vancouver, and we're looking for YOU to join our team.


The Lead Expeditor is primarily responsible for training, leading, and overseeing all expeditor and food running staff, while keeping in depth knowledge of our extensive food menus. The Lead Expeditor helps keep a smooth workflow between the kitchen and front of house, ensuring the efficient flow of orders. This position is responsible for following both company and facility policies and procedures. The Lead Expeditor will promote the Parq Vancouver facility and act as a positive role model and representative of Blau & Associates. The Lead Expeditor continually strives for 100% guest satisfaction.


The Lead Expeditor is responsible for:

Ensuring the efficient flow of orders from the kitchen to the restaurant
Ensuring orders are being prepared in accordance to the correct priority
Assisting in the final preparation of dishes
Checking dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation, and temperature
Delivering orders to maintain fast service
Eliminating obstacles in service, food preparation
Inspecting the premises according to quality and sanitation standards and assist in cleaning
Transferring important information between the kitchen and the wait staff (e.g. when a customer has a particular request)
Maintaining a composed and professional demeanor while providing exemplary guest service
Being aware of menu items, menu and operational changes, communicating the information as appropriate
Protecting the organization, guests and co-workers by adhering to appropriate food, liquor, workplace service, operational and safety standards
Ensuring that all property, furnishings, equipment and supplies are used according to proper instructions and intended use
All duties as assigned by the Outlet Manager or their designated representative


The Lead Expeditor must:

Have experience as an Expeditor in a similar environment including a hotel, restaurant, catering or other fast paced high-volume establishment
Have valid Serving it Right and Foodsafe Level 1 certificates
Be able to obtain and maintain a GPEB license
Have an excellent command of both spoken and written English. Knowledge of a 2nd language would be considered an asset
Have a good product knowledge and be able to effectively handle inquiries including dietary, food sensitivity or allergy requirements
Have solid problem solving, decision making, customer service, communication and sales skills
Have the ability to handle inventory management and proper product use to eliminate waste and spillage
Have detailed knowledge of the Vancouver area including Parq Vancouver amenities, services and local attractions
Be able to stand for extended periods of time, reach, bend and stoop repeatedly
Be able to frequently lift and carry up to 44 pounds
