Teatro Group is recruiting for the role of Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager provides assistance and leadership aimed at helping Teatro Group achieve its organizational objectives. This individual ensures that all areas of Teatro Group are in compliance with all applicable federal and provincial legislation. The Manager of HR works as a strategic partner to the Corporate Executive Team. This individual is responsible for recruiting, development of policies and programs, OH&S & WCB compliance and training; The right candidate for this role is someone who is looking to be responsible for the strategy, planning and delivery of all people initiatives within the organization.
Areas of responsibilities
Performs and coordinates policy reviews and analysis, including the overall management of all Human Resource areas, direction of the managers for all areas of HR.
Responsible for overseeing the hiring, orientation, supervision, performance management and possible terminations of all of the associates.
Ensures compliance with all legislative requirements (federal and provincial).
Ensures compliance with all Labour Law and Health and Safety regulations.
Research any new developments within the Human Resource field and implement changes where needed.
Develop projects, present them to the Executive Team and implement approved projects.
Anticipate and identify emerging issues, trends and problems that affect the policies and programs of Teatro Group.
Identify and address issues that affect the overall health of the organization; morale, effectiveness, turnover, absenteeism and productivity.
Plans and provides organizational development strategy, direction, advice and counsel to the Executive Team.
Analyze and administer benefit programs and serve as primary contact with service providers.
Implement and manage different compensation plans.
Direct all recruitment practices and procedures.
Ensure the security of employee records and the appropriate retention periods for a variety of documents.
Provide direction to all levels of employees for HR related issues.
Execute HR programs such as training, innovation, employee recognition, activities and recreational programs in a way supporting internal equity and organization's competitiveness.
Supervise the administration and maintenance of payroll and employee benefit programs.
Requirements of the role
Minimum of 8 years work experience in HR required.
Experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry preferred.
Demonstrated ability to meet strategic objectives for HR and the organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage HR core processes such as talent management, succession planning and employee relations.
Able to make sound business decisions and evidence based recommendations to senior management.
Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Effective written and verbal communication skills
A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
Sound leadership, staff management, and team building skills
Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe products and e-mail required.
Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with corporate departments, key business partners, and employees.
Demonstrated ability to have a positive impact on business results.
Able to interpret and implement personnel related legislation.
Demonstrated knowledge of labour laws.
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
Ability to attend and conduct presentations.
Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
