West Oak restaurant is a high volume, casual fine dining establishment in the heart of Yaletown. If you are looking for an opportunity to work with fresh whole seafood, the highest quality meat and beautiful locally sourced produce then this is the place for you!
We are looking for cooks of all abilities to join our team. If you have little experience, we are very hands on in getting people trained to the required standard. Experienced cooks will be compensated fairly (NO DAY RATES), including gratuities. We change menus frequently and run features constantly, if you are creative and ambitious, this is an excellent pace to practice your dish design skills.
Please note: Our kitchen is open until 2am on Friday and Saturday. You will be required to work late nights on both of these days.
Job duties will include:
-Being responsible for your own section of the line
-Execution of dishes to standard set by our chefs.
-Maintaining food safety standards
-Rotating stock effectively
-Being able to lift up to 50lbs
-Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
-Working from recipes
