Bow & Stern is a local family-own restaurant that has been serving Abbotsford since 2014 and Chilliwack since 2020. We specialize in ocean inspired dining, offering a variety of fresh oysters and other delicious dishes. Our dedicated chefs are constantly innovating and perfecting our menu to provide exciting new options and excellent quality. We are excited to continue expanding our brand and look forward to opening our newest location in Brentwood Burnaby in summer of 2024.
We are currently looking for BARTENDERS to join our dynamic team at Bow & Stern located at The Amazing Brentwood in Burnaby.
As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating an exceptional dining experience. You will be the face of the restaurant, bringing our culinary vision to life and delivering outstanding hospitality. Your job will be to make every guest feel welcomed and well cared for, ensuring they have a memorable and enjoyable visit.

- Prepare the bar for service, ensuring the bar is ready and set to welcome guests with our standard of excellence.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of our menus, to enhance guest interactions and satisfaction.

- Actively engage in learning sessions and team briefings to deepen your understanding of our restaurant's ethos.
- Execute end-of-service duties with efficiency, ensuring the bar area is cleaned, and ready for the following service.
- Uphold the restaurant's high standards of service, seamlessly integrating health and safety practices into daily responsibilities.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Serving It Right certification, demonstrating a thorough understanding of responsible alcohol service.
- Additional certifications in liquor, wine (WSET), and food service are advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of wine, cocktails, and culinary offerings.
- A positive and energetic demeanor with a genuine passion for food and beverage.
- Proven ability to swiftly address and fulfill guest needs with a strong sense of urgency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, reflecting professionalism and courtesy.
