Job Description

Liberty Kitchen is coming to Langford and is currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join their team!

Liberty Kitchen is a neighborhood restaurant focused on from scratch cooking alongside truly genuine hospitality. We are committed to buying the freshest ingredients available, preparing our sauces daily, and taking the time to ferment our famous house-made pizza dough until it is perfect. We are fanatical about food and love serving it to our guests. We are ecstatic to be opening in Langford!

WHO WE ARE:
- Liberty Kitchen is the newest concept from Browns Restaurant Group, best known for Browns Socialhouse and Browns Crafthouse.
- Liberty Kitchen and Browns Socialhouse are franchises, so while we are part of a large brand with 70+ locations, we are also owned and operated locally by Rumpel Restaurant Group.
- We currently operate 5 restaurants on Vancouver Island, 1 in Mainland BC and another in Manitoba. We are growing every year and have plans to open more restaurants in the future.

- You have at least 2-3 years of experience as a manager in the restaurant industry.
- You have spent at least 5 years of cumulative experience in the restaurant industry.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Participate in the opening this location:
o You will be responsible for Hiring, training, and overseeing FOH staff.
o You will work alongside local and head office trainers to develop staff and systems.
o You will work with the Rumpel Restaurant Group team to setup and organize the new restaurant.
- Help create a culture of leadership in the restaurant:
o You will develop and train staff with the intention of cultivating leadership at every level. Hosts want to be Expos, Expos want to be Servers, Servers want to be Bartenders. You will help them achieve these goals.
- Maintain systems and deliver consistency:
o You will take our systems and make them work for your team, adjusting and tweaking them until they are perfect.
o You will ensure that we are delivering consistent products to our guests through training, leadership, and dedication to excellence.
- Control costs:
o You will manage costs by balancing inventory, maintaining ordering pars, and training the staff to reduce waste. You will look for ways to run the business as efficiently as possible.
o You will manage labor costs by writing schedules that reflect business levels and cutting staff when appropriate.
o You will manage the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant and understand the many ways that this impacts our costs and bottom line.
