Celebrity chef Akira Back has opened his first Canadian namesake restaurant, Akira Back, in the Bisha Hotel Toronto. Akira Back is renowned for blending Japanese cuisine with Korean ingredients and flavours.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for safely preparing ingredients required for food service from a sanitary environment. The ideal candidate would have previous kitchen experience, knowledge of Japanese/Korean cuisine, and are motivated by desire to progress in a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
-Minimum 2 years related experience as a cook
-Available to work from 3:00pm-12:00am
-Strong knife skills and use of kitchen equipment and utensils
-Ability to work weekends, holidays, mornings and nights
-Must be energetic with a passion for food and a positive attitude
-Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
-Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism (i.e. punctuality, commitment to the job, well-groomed, mannerly, great team work etc.)
-Attention to detail
-Food Handling and Health & Safety training an asset
