We are currently looking for a LINE COOKS to join our dynamic team at BLACK+BLUE STEAKHOUSE. Black+Blue is a premier dining destination offering the magic of a classic steakhouse combined with a modern, energetic ambiance. Black+Blue offers an exclusive opportunity to indulge in some of the world's most sought-after steaks, curated from the finest producers. With its stunning multi-level space, elegant ambiance, and an unrivalled selection of premium cuts, Black+Blue is a must-visit destination to experience “the golden age of steak”.

Reporting to the Chef, the COOK is responsible for safely preparing dishes required for a full-service restaurant. The ideal candidate should be motivated by an appetite for food and developing knowledge of various cooking techniques.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

· FOODSAFE certification is an asset

· 3 years experience in a similar role

· Strong knife skills and workable knowledge of kitchen equipment

· Solid understanding of standard measurements and portions

· Energetic with a passion for food and a positive outlook

· Able to follow oral and written instructions

· Experience as a line cook – grilling, frying, sautéing, chopping, etc.

· Likes to work as part of a team in a high volume restaurant

· Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight

· Ability to stand for long periods of time
