CIBO Wine Bar on King Street is a vibrant and stylish destination known for its unforgettable dining experiences and events. We’re currently seeking a Sales and Event Coordinator to join our passionate team. This is a full-time, 18-month contract position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and has a knack for delivering seamless, high-impact events.
Position Summary
As the Sales and Event Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in driving event sales and ensuring each event exceeds client expectations. You’ll be the primary contact for our clients—from initial inquiry to event execution—working closely with our culinary and service teams to bring each occasion to life. Your ability to build strong client relationships, stay highly organized, and maintain clear communication across departments will be key to your success.
We’re looking for someone who is hospitality-driven, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination
• Meeting with confirmed clients to review menus and event expectations
• Planning & detailing large events with significant food & beverage components
• Facilitating client tastings
• Creating detailed event orders
• Effective communication & coordination with the culinary & banquet teams
• Executing on-site day of event & client management
• Research markets to identify opportunities for events
• Provide onsite assistance as needed at events.
• Other duties as assigned.
Sales & Client Relations
• Responding to incoming Member and Event inquiries
• Meeting with prospective and existing clients
• Quoting on prospective events
• Negotiating pricing & executing client booking contracts
• Monitor and organize inventory while effectively tracking new products and services.
• Maintain organized sales records and report month-end goal setting to the senior management team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Hospitality degree or a minimum of bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of 2 years or more experience in Restaurant Events or Marketing
• The ability to work successfully and sustainably in a high-volume, fast paced office environment
• Must be a team player who is also able to work autonomously
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
• Sales driven attitude to generate maximum revenue
• Effective in understanding client needs and efficiently executing clear and concise quotes
• Able to deliver client-based solutions according to customer needs
• Proficient with Microsoft-based programs & typing skills a must
• Available to work nights & weekends as required
