The Sales Manager is responsible for portfolio of restaurant venues including the marketing, selling, and coordination of large parties at the venues. You will be handling customer inquiries and will be the point-of-contact for all event details. The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the collective coordination of all event information and resource, and is responsible for account management, sales prospecting and business development.

Responsibilities and Duties

Financial Overview
-Budget and establish financial targets and forecast
-Maximize sales and meeting profit and financial expectations

Strategic Planning
-Oversee sales for corporate and media events and buyouts for ICONINK venues
Develop and manage client network, sell and prepare sales contracts, and manage event execution
-Assess the client’s requirements and understand their expectation to ensure that they are satisfied with service delivered
-Negotiate event contracts and prepare contracts for clients, and communicate with team to confirm event
-Build and manage marketing channels through digital campaigns and creative sales collateral to grow sales opportunities
-Planning new promotions and initiatives, and contribute to business development
-Work closely with Marketing team on media buying to promote event sales

Communication and Customer Relationship Management
-Manage large parties
-Develop, maintain and grow target client list for potential clients within designated area
-Perform sales cold calls as well as follow-up calls to clients and potential clients to meet targets
-Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure high quality event production
-Respond to client inquiries, including sales quotes and sharing venue proposals, menu options (prix fixe menus, beverage menus, etc.), venue images
-Build a relationship both online and offline, including potential cost negotiation and in-person venue tour
-Liaise with suppliers and other clients

Events Coordination
-Oversee event planning and executive once events are confirmed by Management team
-Greet client, ensuring the specifics of the event details are favourable, making applicable changes
-Manage and overcome obstacles with clients for successful events
-Work closely with the venue General Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute events such as large launch parties, private events and high profile events
-Be primary point of contact and assist clients wishing to organize special gathering at the venue

Qualifications and Skills

Physical Demands
-Be able to work outside normal business hours when situation arises
-Ability to sit at a desk and do general office work

-Professional, self-motivated and flexible
-Able to work independently as well as in a team
-Strong customer service background
-Positive attitude and 100% commitment is a must
-High energy, dynamic, and excellent presentation skills with strong customer service focus
-Excellent verbal and written skills
-Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)

Education and Experiences
-Sales and Events Professional with an established network of relationships is an asset
-College or technical diploma
-Have 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Manager in restaurant industry is an asset
