Essential duties include but are not limited to:
• Lead and supervise the preparation of meals in a dynamic menu, following exact ingredients
• Supervise the work of others in the department, ensuring production and service standards are being met at all times
• Maintain consistency and quality standards for all meals served
• Conduct regular inventory counts of food and other kitchen supplies
• Provide training for new team member
• Sourcing products
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Perform other related duties as needed
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in commercial kitchens.
• Foodservice buying experience
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Capacity to multitask to meet multiple demands and instructions
• Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency
• Ability to self-motivate and problem solve in a fast paced setting filled with hard deadlines
• Comfortable with technology
• Willingness to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job
• Ability to work collaboratively environment with individuals with different technical backgrounds
• Willingness to work weekends
• Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
• Experience and/or interest in nutrition
