MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide excellent customer service at all times, maintain a pleasant and helpful disposition and represent the Granville Brand in a positive manner
Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and timely fashion
Control the flow/line-up at the door, communicate wait times
ID any customer who appears under the age of 30- remove taster maps from underage guests
Once seated, explain all daily specials and small batch beers to the table, answer questions that may arise
Support other Taproom staff as requested
Expedite food as required
Buss and clean tables
Take payments when asked by guests
Welcome and greet guests as they arrive
Estimate wait times for guests
Provide a menu for customers and explain the specials
Answer customer’s question accurately
Inspect dining facilities and ensure proper maintenance
Escort guests to their seats
Helping servers with cleaning and bussing of tables
Ensure that guests receive quality service
Strategically seating tables
Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed
Our love of flavourful beer runs deep, and it inspired us to open as Canada’s first microbrewery back in 1984.
In a time of limited beer options, it became our mission to craft delicious, locally brewed beer that we were proud to share with our friends. Today, that mission remains the same, with every new style offered at our original small batch brewery on Granville Island.
From our very first Island Lager, to the wide variety of flavours we craft today, our beer is as flavourful and refreshing as the moments we spend together. Some are bold and full of life, others are a little more laid back – but every one is brewed with high quality, natural ingredients – and best enjoyed with friends.
