Job Description

Are you looking to get your start in the hospitality industry?

The Donnelly Group is hiring Venue Control Hosts to work at The Railway Stage & Beer Cafe. Drawing inspiration from the UK, we’ve put a modern spin on what a ‘proper pub’ should be.

If you care about food, beer, cocktails, sports, music and also happen to take pride in providing great hospitality, this is where you need to be. Dedication to technical service is a must. Attention to detail and a sense of urgency are required. An outgoing, engaging personality will also serve you well.

Whether you’re looking to work full-time or just a few shifts each week, there’s a good chance we have a spot for you. Availability is important, but we’ll make it work. Apply here or drop in and ask Doug.

About Railway Stage & Beer Cafe

Railway Stage & Beer Cafe is an iconic music venue in Vancouver set to reopen April 2017. Music and live entertainment are a focus including an open mic & live comedy night. 32 draught taps focused on local craft and rotating selections as well as a food menu featuring homemade soups, fresh salads and pressed deli sandwiches.

Thomas Anselmi (Waldorf, Fox Cabaret) will curate the weekly programming and renovations will include a new stage and sound system. The former Railway Club got its start in 1932 as a members-only club for railway workers and became an iconic music venue in the 80's and 90's hosting the likes of Radiohead, k.d. lang, Los Lobos, and the Tragically Hip.
