Job Title:                            General Manager (AGM), Public House Division
Relationships:                   Reports to the Regional Manager (RM)

 

JOB DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our ideal candidate can lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in this fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Regional Manager, the General Manager works with the Head Chef to lead the team and ensure the establishment operates efficiently and that each and every customer has a positive and pleasant dining experience.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

·       Maintain favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment which will be conducive to maximize employee morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness

·       Provide a favorable image of The Joseph Richard culture and uphold high industry standards
·       Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make decisions reflected in the importance to guest service

·       Hold all employees accountable for service standards, performance and appearance

·       Ensure guest satisfaction in all areas of food, service and environment

·       Communicate with the team through daily log outs and updates

·       Develop and maintain relationships to ensure guests remain loyal and return

·       Report and record all repair and maintenance issues in a timely manner

·       Ensure financial and payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures

·       Maximize bar profitability by ensuring correct pouring and recipes are followed

·       Understand scheduling based on budget and sales forecast and staffing and maintaining shifts accordingly
·       Control operational costs and identify areas of opportunity to improve profitability

·       Implement policies, systems and routines that will maintain restaurant operations

·       Ensure financial and payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures

·       Ensure each shift is staffed appropriately to meet budget and understand the scheduling process based on budget and sales forecast

·       Auditing staff performance and providing feedback

·       Creating detailed reports on weekly revenues and expenses

·       On-boarding and training of new and current employees

 

Working Conditions:
Hours and shifts may vary. Includes working evenings, weekends and holidays.

 

Qualifications:
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Positive, can-do attitude
Ability to multi-task
Strong communication skills
Organizational skills

 

Required Training and Experience:
Minimum of 2-years’ experience in hospitality Management
Joseph Richard Group Food & Beverage testing
Exceptional understanding of The Joseph Richard Group mission statement, philosophy and service standards
Completed Food & Beverage testing
Experience overseeing a dining operation, building relationships with guests and balancing seating capacity

 

Required Certifications or Equivalents:
Serving It Right
First Aid Level 1 is an asset, but not required

About Stanley Park Brewing Restaurant & Brew Pub

Our Concept

A new restaurant experience that celebrates the spirit of the park with good food and great craft beer brewed on site.

Small Batch Innovation Brewing: fully contained: no extension to building footprint, and no venting of smells to the outside.

Restaurant: family friendly and offering a full-service west coast casual menu, thoughtfully designed to complement the beers brewed on site.

Retail Space: to facilitate sales of unique beers brewed on site in small batches; as well as locally sourced Stanley Park Brewing merchandise. Located inside the restaurant, not through Concession area.

Private Functions: a unique venue for corporate and family events, limited only to the licensed spaces; adhering to noise and operating hour by-laws.

Education: offer beer training, brewery tours and education programs.
