Accounts Payable And Payroll Clerk

Full-time permanent position.
Salary: Based on experience
Work Location: Downtown Vancouver – 5 minutes away from Waterfront and Granville station.
Schedule: Monday to Friday

We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable and Payroll clerk to join our team. In this position, you will maintain vendor accounts, enter invoices and process payments for vendors, and reconcile monthly statements. This role is also responsible for monitoring, auditing and approving expense reports.

Responsibilities:

• Process incoming expenses in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying approvals, coding cost accounts, entering data, printing checks, obtaining signatures, and mailing of checks.
• Review/Process expense reports - review allocations of expenses, verify receipts, process and submit through payroll
• Maintain historical records and filing of accounts payable invoices, reports, reconciliations, as required
• Assist with A/P Trade, full-cycle accounting
• Additional accounting duties as assigned
• Perform daily payroll department operations
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
• Understand proper taxation of employer-paid benefits
• Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance
• Coordinate to provide accurate and timely quarterly and year-end reporting when necessary

Qualifications:

• Experience with Sage 50 is an asset
• Experience with Push Operations is an asset
• Understanding of full cycle Accounts Payable procedures and policies
• Minimum of 2 years prior Accounts Payable
• Experience in a high volume internal/accounting environment required
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Interpersonal skills and follow-through are required
• Ability to interact with vendors, office personnel and management, at all levels
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-tasking, high volume environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical and required
• Solid proficiency with business pc applications (MS Office) required
