OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW

As our Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the operations of our restaurant, lounge, bars, and rooftop, while under the direction of the Director of Restaurant and Bars. This "hands-on" position works closely with other departments, specifically Kitchen and Catering. They will work collaboratively with the service team while personally assisting in providing high quality service. They will monitor and control financial and administrative responsibilities, including managing labor, scheduling, and training and developing the service team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and a
passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
- Supervises the performance service team in all of the Club’s restaurant and bar outlets.
- Ensures the smooth execution of service, including hands-on involvement when required
through being present on the floor during service hours.
- Evaluates schedules to manage labor and maximize profits..
- Executes all styles of service, including wine service with confidence.
- Maintains knowledge of all current menus and wine lists.
- Inspects the set-up of designated service sections in all service areas.
- Leads pre-shift meetings with the service team.
- Provides service and sales training to empower the service team to provide excellent
service.
- Assigns side-work duties and stations to all service staff.
- Responds to Member and guest's needs in a timely manner.
- Communicate issues/problems to the Director of Restaurant & Bars or appropriate -
department Manager.
- Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
- Assists with monthly inventory count as needed.
- Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience working for a private Club a bonus.
- 5 years experience in Food and Beverage Service.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory/managerial experience required.
- Minimum WSET level 2 or equivalent required.
- Computer Knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership skills to motivate and develop team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service.
- Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
- Serving It Right Certification required.
