From the team that brought you aware winning cocktail bar 'Laowai' (Canada's nest new bar - Canada's top 100), We are hiring for a new and exciting concept in historic Chinatown.

This concept will offer a unique experience and we are seeking talented and passionate hospitality individuals to join our opening team.

Production Supervisor

Scope of the job:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for all daily operations of the production schedule and works closely with team members to ensure an efficient, safe, and productive work environment. They will be responsible for building and maintaining checklists (such as mise-en-place, production, temperature, etc.). They will report directly to the Executive Chef and assist with ordering and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
-Scheduling and implementing daily and weekly production schedules
-Directly supervise production/prep team members
-Coordinate scheduling requirements with the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager as needed
-Ensure production recipes, food safe, sanitation, and allergen compliances are followed
-Ensure work areas and equipment cleanliness are maintained before, during, and after production
-Ensure product specifications and quality are met, and perform QC checks when required
-Order supplies in a timely manner to meet production needs
-Assist in inventory management and counts
-Report food wastes, equipment malfunctioning, staff concerns, and recipe/supply discrepancies to the Executive Chef
-Build, implement, maintain, and amend checklists on an ongoing basis. These lists would include (but are not limited to) mise-en-place, production, temperature, and food wastes.
-Periodically assist the team on the kitchen line as needed with staff shortages and catering functions

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
-3-5 years’ experience in professional cooking required
-Valid Food Safe certificate required
-Desire to improve and learn on a daily basis
-Able to lift up to 25kg
-Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
-Understanding of inventory management and maintaining daily par lists
-Must be personable, friendly, and outgoing
-High energy and strong work ethic
-Ability to handle high-stress situations
