Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio provides one of the finest dining experiences in Vancouver. Our Executive Chef Ricardo Valverde, brings a contemporary West Coast approach with Peruvian and Japanese flavours with a focus on seafood. Ancora has been a huge success since we opened on False Creek in 2015. We opened our new Ambleside location earlier this year. Ancora is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our talented and motivated team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• prepare dishes
• create recipes
• assist in running and managing kitchen operations
• assist in hiring, training and supervising cooks and other kitchen staff
• assist in planning menus
• requisition food and kitchen supplies
• assist in preparing schedules for kitchen staff
• ensure kitchen is clean, well-supplied and organized

Knowledge and Skills Required:
• 2 to 3 years experience as a cook/chef
• Cook's trade certification or equivalent credentials, training and experience
• Ability to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
• Ability to multitask and work effectively

Ancora Ambleside's dining space was designed with soft modern lines that embrace the warmth and richness of the city’s waterfront landscape. The interiors feature a subtle mix of soft blues, sand-inspired neutrals and light woods to thoughtfully reflect a gentle, coastal feel, and a serene but sophisticated style. Gorgeous fishnet-inspired crystal chandeliers were imported from Italy, along with custom-colour premium leather furniture sourced from Europe.
