The Beach House restaurant is THE place to be on the North Shore for sophisticated seafood + wine, with engaging service and a fun atmosphere. We are known as the place to celebrate, relax, and enjoy life! This newly renovated heritage building yields stunning oceanfront views and cultivates a space for the community to come together and savour experiences that create memories for a lifetime.

We are opening in mid November and we are looking to hire amazing people to be apart of our fun, dynamic team and who are interested in developing their culinary skills.

Start date would be late October/ early November for training before we open!

Server:

What you bring to the floor:

Required certifications to responsibly serve alcohol (specific to your province)

Host:

As a host you play one of the most important roles in the restaurant. We refer to hosts as the ‘quarterback’ of the restaurant as it is your responsibility to set the tone and pace of the restaurant. You will greet guests and make genuine connections right away so that guests start their experience out on a high note. You will learn how to manage the floor and the flow of guests entering the restaurant so that we can execute an experience that they will remember forever!

As a Host, you’ll:

Inspire magic at the front door of the restaurant by engaging and communicating with guests when they first enter
Create seamless section transitions and flow for the kitchen and servers alike, managing the placement of guests throughout the restaurant
Be a source of support and a mark of teamwork, jumping in to help clear and reset tables when needed
Be a business owner every shift you work, taking responsibility and accountability for service and communication quality and efficiency

Server Assistant (Busser/Setter):

You are the catalyst for a perfect restaurant. You take pride in having a spotless and organized environment and work with efficiency and intensity to achieve this. You are there to assist servers with table maintenance to ensure flawless execution. On top of that you will act a liaison between different roles within the restaurant.

As a Server Assistant you’ll:

Help the Front of House team execute on flawless operations by providing support wherever needed
Support smooth table transitions by being timely and efficient in clearing and resetting tables to restaurant standards
Develop a safe, comfortable and accessible environment for guests by being proactive in overall cleanliness and addressing any issues
Be a business owner every shift you work, taking responsibility and accountability for the quality and efficiency of your work
What you bring to the team:

Bartender:

You excite our guests by crafting unique cocktails through unusual flavours. You have the ability to build genuine connections with our guests through extensive food and drink knowledge and a bubbly personality. You maintain a perfect environment behind the bar and on the bar top all while mixing cocktails and pouring beer and wine for our guests. As the bartender you are the life of the party by ensuring guests at the bar are well taken care of and also making sure that drinks are executed perfectly!

As a Bartender, you’ll:

Develop long lasting relationships with regular guests, welcoming regulars back to your bar and providing them with ongoing and consistent exemplary service.
Maintain a clean and uncluttered bar environment, contribute to the product preparation and levels of garnishes, tools and equipment needed to perform your job
Foster an environment for clear, timely and effective communication with other bartenders, servers and guests alike, setting expectations for all.
Keep the bar float in balance and your cash in check, completing all opening and closing cash counts and duties with care and detail.
What you bring to the team:

The belief that people are the source of extraordinary experiences, and the desire to contribute to something bigger than yourself, every day.
Previous experience in the food and beverage industry (practical bartending experience is certainly nice to have); added bonus: product knowledge of liquor, wine and beer, as well as experience conducting inventory.
Huge pride in the ability to juggle multiple tasks at once, a willingness to learn, a drive to succeed and an openness to feedback, coaching and mentorship.
Required certifications to responsibly serve alcohol (specific to your province).
The ability to legally work in Canada (as a citizen, resident or holding other current and valid work permit).
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $15.00 to $22.00 /hour
