Boulevard's Executive Chef wins coveted Gold award with dish described as "Vancouver on a plate"

Roger Ma, Executive Chef at Vancouver's acclaimed Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar, won Gold last weekend at the Canadian Culinary Championship 2020 in Ottawa.
Chef Ma's dish, called BC Coastal Terroir, showcased a single honey mussel gratineed with a miso butter crust, foraged bull kelp, sea urchin custard, a slice of Yukon potato and scallion terrine set in a gelee of clam and mussel nectar.
Montreal's Chef Marc-André Jetté of Hoogan et Beaufort won SIlver and Winnipeg's Chef Emily Butcher of deer + almond was awarded Bronze in the competition.
Featuring over 100 chefs from coast to coast, the Canadian Culinary Championships is the grand finale of Canada’s Great Kitchen Party, a series of events aimed at "elevating and celebrating Canadian excellence in food, music and sport."
