Job Positions: Host(ess)
Responsibilities:
-Welcome and greet guests as they enter the restaurant, offering a warm and friendly introduction.
-Assist the guests over the phone with warm and friendly manner for different guests needs
-Manage guest reservations, record special requests, and arrange seating accordingly.
-Provide guests with accurate wait times, ensuring they have a comfortable waiting area.
-Maintain a well-organized reservation book and seating plan to optimize table allocation.
-Coordinate with the servers and management team to manage smooth table turnovers and ensure efficient seating.
-Escort guests to their assigned tables, presenting menus
-Handle guest inquiries, including menu information, directory in neighbourhood, and special requests.
-Monitor table rotations with frequent table status update to balance the workload for servers and optimize guest flow.
-Assist in setting up the dining area, ensuring that tables are properly arranged and clean.
-Perform other job duties as requested by management team
Requirements:
-Previous minimum 1-year experience as Hostess/Lead Hostess at a high-volume restaurant
-Previous Opentable experience or relative reservation software is an asset
-A passion and commitment to hospitality, teamwork, fun and the guest experience.
-A commitment to fostering a supportive and engaging experience for your team members and guests.
-A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
-Scheduling flexibility (must be available on weekends)
