The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth in the hospitality industry. This role, along with the rest of the management team, is responsible for the overall proficient operation of the entire business. This includes creating and maintaining a fair and safe work environment for all staff members, as well as coaching training, and developing new and existing staff members. Managers are responsible to set the tone and lead the staff.

This position will work closely with the FOH and BOH management team to ensure exceptional guest service is provided to of all our guests. The position will complete daily administrative duties included below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Interacting with customers (including serving food and drink)
• Ensuring that a high standard of customer service is always maintained  
• Overseeing compliance with health and safety regulations (FOH and BOH) at all times
• Running promotional campaigns to market in-house products and events
• Collecting and acting on customer feedback to improve the overall experience for our guests
• Undertaking regular stock checks, placing orders with suppliers and restocking
• Ensuring regular maintenance of the premises, including cleaning and minor repairs
• Recruiting, training and managing staff
• Leading meetings to update and motivate staff members
• Monitoring profitability and performance to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded
• Meeting with the management team to assess pub performance and set sales targets
• Ensuring that the pub adheres to various legal frameworks (liquor acts, safety, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

•  Strong organizational, multi-tasking and communication skills
•  Excellent staff management, motivation and leadership skills
•  High level of timeliness and adhering to quality standards
•  Strong working knowledge of POS systems and cash out procedures
•  Experience with ordering and inventory
•  Experience with scheduling, menu planning and forecasting 
•  Ability to respond positively to high pressure situations
•  Firm understanding of Employment Standards
•  Critical thinking and the ability to make decisive decisions
• Experience with Tock or equivalent reservation systems
•  First Aid Level 1
•  Wine Education (WSET 1)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

•  Minimum 3 years of experience in a Management role in the Hospitality Industry
•  Serving it Right
•  Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
•  Able to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours) and lift upwards of 50 lbs

SCHEDULE AND PAY:

• Full-time
• 45 hrs/week
• $50k-60k annual salary + tips
