Started in 1926, the Colonial Auto Group is Atlantic Canada’s largest family owned and operated automotive parts provider.
We are seeking an individual looking for long-term employment who is a team player with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate will have a background in leadership, sales management, and customer service within the auto parts industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the branch, including sales, customer service, and financial transactions
- Develop and implement strategies to drive branch profitability and growth
- Lead and motivate a team of employees to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to enhance retention and loyalty
- Customer account sales visits
Skills:
- Automotive product and mechanical knowledge are a definite asset
- Superior customer service skills, both on the phone and in person
- Manage customer relations throughout the entire sales cycle
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and the ability to adhere to safety regulations
- Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management
- Proven record of accomplishment in sales management and achieving sales targets
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building relationships
- Proficiency in cash handling procedures
- Identify new business through prospecting and cold calls
As a condition of employment, we require a police background check acceptable to the company, a clean drivers abstract, and maintenance of a clean and valid driver’s license. There is a three-month probationary period prior to permanent status. Only those applicants with the necessary qualifications will be contacted.
