Gateway is seeking a dynamic, outgoing and energetic Food Truck Associate who loves to create buzz and excitement, as well as provide outstanding customer service. As a Food Truck Associate, you will maintain high standards and food product consistency by preparing, presenting, storing, and dispatching products to ensure an outstanding guest experience. Key Responsibilities

 

  • Follows required methods of preparation ensuring high quality of food and consistent portion sizes.
  • Prepares orders for the Match Food Truck in a timely manner.
  • Sets up stations according to guidelines and standards.
  • Maintains product consistency by following standards, recipes, portion controls and presentation of food prepared as per culinary and supervisory guidelines.
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the Food Truck including coolers and other storage areas.
  • Serves food in the proper size and at the proper temperature.
  • Ensures that all equipment is used in a safe manner at all times.
  • Ensures that wastage is kept to a minimum and recorded.
  • Ensures that all working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Adheres to all food service, hospitality and culinary standards, policies, and regulations; including hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Provides courteous and professional service at all times.
  • Rings in orders accurately and completes end of day reports for the POS.

 

What You Bring

 

  • 1 year in a cook position or culinary experience
  • Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts or comparable education is an asset
  • Appropriate provincial food safe requirements
  • Experience with point of sales systems in a front of the house restaurant environment an asset
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Valid Driver’s License
