Territory Sales Representative

2 Positions Location – Eastern and Western Canada
To maintain and grow sales through customers within Canada with overall company sales in small earth moving market.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Achieve sales objectives with in assigned territory.
- Schedule customer contacts via in‐person visits and via telephone, as per management objective
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel within the assigned geographical territory customer base on a consistent basis.
- Train and update customer personnel to ensure all IRMN features and functions and utilized to their fullest extent.
- Keep customers informed on all products and programs.
- Obtain and utilize customer parts usage reports to secure additional sales and to help determine additional product offering requirements.
- Gather competitive literature and promotional material with consent of the customer.
- Inform sales, customer service staff and management of competitive actions in the market place
- Complete sales call reports and respective actions in Salesforce and/or any other internal CRM related program after each sales call, working closely with inside sales, customer service and management. Keep contact information current and up to date.
- Follow up in a consistent and timely manner with customers, inside sales, customer service staff and management to address any issues or sales opportunities.
- Utilize good judgment in regard to entertaining and general expense control and fiscal responsibility
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct bi‐weekly scheduled conference calls to keep sales staff and management up to date on current sales opportunities, competitive actions and customer service/experience issues or concerns.
- Assist and attend trade shows and conventions as required.
- Conduct sales analysis reports and presentations to staff and management as required.
- Make high level presentations to customer staff and related companies
Knowledge and Skills
- College degree and or 5 years of a related industry selling experience.
- Industry knowledge desirable.
- Must be able to make public presentations
- Computer skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Products
- Possess strong and keen business acumen.
- Possess strong time management and organizational skills.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be a “Team Player”.
Extent of Public Contact
- Position requires high level of customer contact both in person and via telephone.
- Interaction with all levels of company management.
- Must represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to travel on a regular and consistent basis (flying and driving) .
- Position requires extensive computer usage.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to fifty pounds (Laptop computer, luggage etc.)
Working Conditions and Environment
- Position requires extensive overnight travel in a broad geographical area, up to 4 days per week.
- Customer locations are of an industrial nature (service departments etc.)
- Occasional weekend travel
- Occasional international travel
- Public speaking engagements as required
