Personally, I felt that the Richmond Cactus definitely only promotes workers that suck up to management. I've been praised for my hard work ethic but was not chosen to be promoted because I "was not outgoing enough." I've had countless years of customer service experience, and have been able to build meaningful relationships with lots of the regulars that I've come across. I trained multiple hostesses at Cactus, yet they still surpassed me & were promoted even though they did not work as hard as other coworkers. Some coworkers were nice, but a lot of them had unresolved issues with each other, which brought some tension & gossip in the workplace.

I enjoyed my time at Cactus solely because the friends I made and got to know more there. Pay gets better if you stay with the place. The management team however (more specifically the heads of the location) , consists of selfish, inconsiderate and pretty childish people. They try to pass as friends and show that they care but honestly at the end of the day all they care about is money, not you. If you’re on their "good side" they will 100% treat you better but the moment you do or say anything that goes against what they want (whether thats questioning their judgment or complaining about a legit issue) they will make your life miserable. Another great thing is that they dont really do much to help (unless their own boss is around) ! In my experience whenever we would experience rushes they enjoyed taking their time eating their meals chatting about their Louis bags (or "meetings" as they call them) while you get to run around, like a chicken without a head, stressing about all the things you have to do.
