Good coworkers and environment, tips are really good in summer and have lots of regular customers. Management can be difficult but it's their job, they are also flexible and helpful whenever you need something. You have to be able to work fast and support the team.

Management here is really poor, the coworkers are great but it's clear that the owners care little about the workers as they overbooked the holidays during the peak of another covid pandemic while overworking their staff. I was quickly moved into another role with little to no training and wasn't given any guidance on my performance or anything. I ended up leaving due to a lack of communication from management.

I enjoyed my time at Water Street Cafe, I learned a lot about BC wines, made some really good tips. This is a competitive work environment. During my time there, it was clear that the best servers got the best sections. If you're the lazy server who doesn't want to work hard and be a team player, this isn't the place for you.
