Description:
Baristas provide an outstanding experience for our guests. They are responsible for preparing and delivering quality products in a friendly and efficient manner that satisfies the needs and expectations of our guests. Baristas work under the supervision of the F&B Supervisor and Manager, or designate, and closely with all culinary and distribution departments at Sunshine.
Essential Functions:
- Provide excellent guest service.
- Operating the POS system to ring through the guests’ orders.
- Handling cash.
- Prepare and serve drinks efficiently in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
- Maintain inventory by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, etc.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Accept payment transactions and complete accurate daily cash-outs.
- Maintain public spaces, including stocking supplies, cleaning, garbage removal, and Washrooms.
- Ability to answer guest queries about the mountain and operations in a friendly and efficient manner.
Administrative and Reporting Responsibilities:
- Timely and accurate incident and deficiencies reporting.
- Completing all training documentation.
- May assist with ordering supplies and monitoring inventory.
Other duties may be requested and assigned from time to time.
Experience/Requirements:
- Passion for providing outstanding guest service.
- Previous Barista experience is an asset.
- Ability to accurately manage a cash float.
- Energetic and self-motivated
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Communicate effective in English, both written and verbally.
- Prepared to work flexible schedules (weekends, holidays, early starts)
- Maintain professional conduct when in uniform, on or off-duty, and online.
- Effective provide support and assistance to coworkers.
- Must be neat, punctual, and dependable.
- WHMIS training an asset.
- Successful completion of Proserve alcohol serving certificate is required prior to commencement.
Additional Considerations:
- Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
- This position works at high altitude and at times, in inclement weather. Prolonged periods of standing, repetitive motions, bending and twisting is required.
- Some required uniform pieces are provided.
- Based on operational needs, this position may require working in various Food & Beverage venues across the resort.
