Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Morning Prep & Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role is essential in ensuring the restaurant is fully prepared for daily service. You will be responsible for early morning food preparation, organizing the kitchen line, and setting the foundation for a smooth and successful service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare fresh ingredients including seafood, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes
- Portion and label food items according to restaurant standards
- Set up and stock kitchen stations for line cooks
- Ensure all prep work is completed efficiently before service begins
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed
- Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and management
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen prep or line experience preferred (seafood experience is an asset)
- Ability to work early morning shifts (starting as early as 7–9 AM)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Food Safe certification is an asset
