Job Description
The Stone Lion is looking for an experienced, reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team.
We're a busy neighbourhood pub in the Beaches serving elevated comfort food, craft beer, cocktails, weekend brunch, and one of the busiest patios in the east end. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen, and enjoys being part of a positive, professional team.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and execute menu items to our quality and presentation standards
- Work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner, brunch, and event services
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation
- Follow recipes and portion standards to ensure consistency
- Assist with prep and station setup
- Work collaboratively with chefs and fellow cooks to deliver an exceptional guest experience
- Help maintain a positive, respectful kitchen culture
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 4 years of line cook experience
- Ability to work calmly in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler Certification is considered an asset
