We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary leadership team. The ideal candidate is an experienced culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is committed to maintaining excellence in food quality, consistency, and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chef in the daily operation of the kitchen
- Supervise and support line cooks and prep cooks during service
- Ensure food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation standards are maintained
- Assist with scheduling, training, and development of kitchen team members
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving products
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards
- Help manage daily prep, production, and station organization
- Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of culinary experience, including supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen
- Previous experience as a Lead Line Cook, Chef de Partie, or Junior Sous Chef preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
