Job Description
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Tasks
- Determine the size of food portions and costs
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas
- Manage kitchen operations Support for persons with disabilities
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for persons with disabilities Support for newcomers and refugees
- Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) Support for youths
- Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth Support for Veterans
- Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Veterans Support for Indigenous people
