Job Description
- Education: No degree, certificate or diploma
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Work setting
- Restaurant Tasks
- Determine the size of food portions and costs
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Screening questions
- Are you authorized to work in Canada?
- Do you have experience working in this field? Support for newcomers and refugees
- Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
- Does not require Canadian work experience Support for youths
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth Support for Indigenous people
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
