We are seeking a dedicated, highly organized, and energetic Restaurant Manager to lead our day-to-day operations at our Strathroy location.
Job Summary
As the Restaurant Manager, you will oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, food safety compliance, and efficient team performance during busy breakfast and lunch service. You will be responsible for managing labor schedules, supervising front-of-house and back-of-house staff, tracking inventory, and maintaining strong relationships with local suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate all daily front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Scheduling & Performance: Establish weekly staff work schedules, balance floor coverage against peak volume hours, and actively monitor staff performance.
- Inventory & Supplier Relations: Control inventory, track stock levels, and negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food, beverages, and other essential restaurant supplies.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor operational revenues, manage daily cash controls, and modify operational procedures or pricing under franchise guidelines to maximize efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to provincial health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, and general cleanliness standards.
- Guest Relations: Address and resolve customer complaints, feedback, or concerns promptly to maintain an excellent dining experience.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, foster a positive work culture, and handle staff de-escalation when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 to less than 2 years of proven management or supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail or hospitality setting.
- Shift Availability: Must be fully available to work early morning, morning, day, and weekend shifts to align with our diner operating model.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic proficiency with computer applications, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), and electronic cash registers/POS systems.
- Core Skills: Strong communication skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a background in stock management or supplier coordination.
