Duties
- Serve food and beverages to guests at banquets, receptions, and special events with professionalism and courtesy
- Set up, maintain, and reset banquet rooms according to event standards
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed to ensure timely service
- Ensure all food handling and safety standards are strictly followed in accordance with food safety regulations
- Serve plated meals, buffets, wine, cocktails, and beverages efficiently and professionally
- Assist with room setup, polishing, table settings, and event breakdown
- Provide attentive guest services, addressing any special requests or concerns promptly
- Collaborate with event staff and kitchen personnel to ensure smooth operation of events
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance throughout each shift

Skills
- Valid Smart Serve Certification (required)
- Strong English communication skills, spoken and written (required)
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
- Previous experience in banquet, hospitality, restaurant, catering, or customer service is considered an asset
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and food safety standards
- Ability to serve efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take direction well
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and carry trays or banquet equipment when required
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night events is require
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
