We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team and maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. This role is essential in creating a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will have prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience, demonstrating attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest areas, event rooms, washrooms, offices, hallways, and back of house spaces
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, and sanitize assigned areas
- Empty garbage and recycling bins and dispose of waste properly
- Refill washroom and cleaning supplies as needed
- Maintain cleanliness before, during, and after events
- Support event setup and cleanup as required
- Report maintenance concerns, damages, or safety hazards to management
- Follow health and safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear company uniform at all times
- Keep cleaning carts organized and out of guest view when possible
- Other duties assigned by the manager
Skills
- Previous cleaning, porter, janitorial, hospitality, or banquet experience is an asset
- Ability to communicate in English
- Good personal presentation and professional appearance
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Able to lift, bend, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
