Match and Fable is conducting a confidential search on behalf of one of the Greater Toronto Area's premier private member organizations for an accomplished Executive Chef.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate culinary leader to shape an exceptional food and beverage program while delivering memorable dining experiences for a discerning membership. Reporting to the General Manager, the Executive Chef will provide strategic leadership across all culinary operations, including à la carte dining, member events, weddings, tournaments, and private functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all culinary operations with a focus on quality, consistency, innovation, and exceptional member service.
• Develop creative, seasonal menus that balance elevated cuisine with operational excellence.
• Recruit, mentor, and inspire a high-performing culinary team while fostering a positive kitchen culture.
• Oversee food purchasing, inventory, labour scheduling, budgeting, and cost controls.
• Ensure the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to continuously enhance the member dining experience and special events.
• Build strong supplier relationships and champion fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef within a private club, luxury hotel, upscale restaurant, resort, or premium hospitality environment.
• Demonstrated success leading both à la carte and banquet operations.
• Strong financial and operational acumen, including food and labour cost management.
• Exceptional leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
• Passion for hospitality, culinary excellence, and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Red Seal Certification or equivalent culinary designation is considered an asset.
