Position Summary
The Barista is a vital part of the guest experience, bringing warmth, efficiency, and a passion for coffee culture to every interaction. This role contributes to a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere, where quality and consistency are key. This position reports to the General Manager, with directions and instructions from Senior Management and the Owners at times.
Position Responsibilities
- Executing an assortment of delicious specialty beverages in a high-volume and fast-paced setting.
- Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
- Greet, and welcome each guest bar side and answer any questions or pass to the appropriate person(s).
- Understand and comply with drink standards and equipment procedures as seen in the employee manual.
- Proficient understanding of both our wider food and drinks offering.
- Eager to learn and be trained on the use of different equipment and stations.
- Perform accurate cash & credit handling as well as POS procedures.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Maintain and ensure the overall cleanliness of assigned station(s) and establishment.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain and engage in a respectful, professional, and positive workplace.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience: prior experience as a barista is a must-have.
- Self-motivated, organized, and ability to multi-task effectively.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, days, nights, and weekends.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
- Ability to work varied hours.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with guests and employees
- Customer service focus and quality orientated
- Adaptable and flexible
- High energy level
Work Schedule
This full/part-time position generally works eight-hour days. The specific work hours during the workday may be determined through mutual agreement, allowing for flexibility as needed.
