Food Service Supervisor Part Time

Part-Time Breakfast Supervisor (Weekends) — Hydra Estiatorio Location: Hydra, Vancouver, BC

Schedule: Part-time, primarily weekend mornings (must be available Saturdays & Sundays; some weekday AM shifts as needed)

About the Role

Hydra Estiatorio is seeking a hands-on Breakfast Supervisor to lead our morning front-of-house team. You’ll set the tone for exceptional, warm Greek-inspired hospitality while ensuring smooth, efficient breakfast service.

What You’ll Do

• Open the restaurant and execute pre-shift setup; lead lineups and huddles
• Assign stations, support hosts/servers/food runners, and jump in where needed 
• Monitor flow, wait times, and table turns; solve guest issues on the spot
• Maintain Hydra standards for service, cleanliness, and presentation
• Liaise with kitchen on pacing, special requests, and dietary needs
• Handle cash-outs/end-of-shift paperwork and basic reporting 
• Train, coach, and motivate the FOH breakfast team

What You Bring 

• 1–2+ years in a supervisory or lead server role (breakfast/brunch experience is a plus)
• Calm, organized, and guest-obsessed; leads by example
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Food Safety & Serving It Right (or equivalent) certifications an asset 
• Able to lift up to 25 lb and stand/walk for extended periods
• Weekend morning availability is required
