Shift Supervisor

Department: Dining Division
Reports To: General Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt

What You'll Do

As a Shift Supervisor, you'll be a key leader in our restaurant operations, helping ensure every shift runs smoothly while inspiring your team to deliver first-class service.

Lead and Develop Team Members

  • Motivate, coach, and support team members to provide outstanding guest experiences.
  • Lead by example through professionalism, positivity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and respect.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
  • Assist with team scheduling and help create a positive work environment where employees feel valued and empowered.
  • Effectively oversee restaurant operations when the General Manager or Assistant Manager is not present.

Deliver Exceptional Guest Service

  • Create a warm, welcoming environment for every guest.
  • Ensure team members consistently deliver our First-Class Service standards.
  • Build positive guest relationships and resolve concerns quickly and professionally.
  • Be a visible leader on the floor, engaging with guests and supporting team members when needed.
  • Champion our culture of hospitality through every interaction.

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Lead each shift by assigning responsibilities, delegating tasks, and ensuring operational standards are achieved.
  • Support inventory management, ordering, receiving, and cost control initiatives.
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards are consistently maintained.
  • Assist with cash handling procedures, POS operations, and team training on restaurant systems.
  • Follow opening and closing procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges and collaborate with management to find effective solutions.

What We Look For Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or hotel environment.
  • ServSafe Food Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation, sanitation, inventory management, labor control, and customer service.
  • Experience coaching and developing team members.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, reach, climb ladders, and perform other physical duties throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures and extended periods of standing.
