Part-Time Bartender (Hybrid Role) — Minami, Yaletown
Minami is looking for a part-time/full time bartender to join our team.
Located in the heart of Yaletown, Minami is a Japanese–West Coast restaurant rooted in thoughtful hospitality, premium ingredients, and a refined cocktail and sake program. Our bar focuses on Japanese spirits, seasonal flavours, and drinks designed to complement the food — not overpower it.
This is not a traditional bartending role.
Our bartenders are equally present on the floor. You’ll be making cocktails, but also serving guests, running a section, and shaping the overall experience in our lounge.
If you’re looking to only work behind the bar, this position likely isn’t the right fit.
What this role looks like:
- Moving fluidly between bar and floor throughout service
- Running a lounge section with confidence and strong guest engagement
- Crafting cocktails with consistency, care, and attention to detail
- Guiding guests through both food and beverage menus in a natural, genuine way
- Being part of a team that values precision, energy, and hospitality
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a busy restaurant or cocktail-focused environment (minimum 3 years)
- Has strong serving experience and is confident leading a section
- Understands that hospitality comes first — always
- Is comfortable balancing multiple roles during service
- Has a genuine interest in cocktails, Japanese spirits, and sake
- Is polished, personable, and intuitive with guests
- Brings a positive, team-first attitude
- Is organized, efficient, and calm under pressure
- Is available at least 2 days a week
This is a part-time position (minimum 2 shifts per week) with room to grow and contribute to the cocktail program over time.
