Chef Full Time

Selene Aegean Bistro is looking for an experienced kitchen professional to join our team as a dedicated full time salaried morning prep chef.

Selene is the latestest venture of Gaia House Hospitality which includes your Fraser St favourites, Nammos Estiatorio, AMA Raw Bar and the most recent addition of Les Faux Bourgeois. Recently awarded 2026 Best Mediterranean Restaurnt by Vancouver Magazine, we offer modern Greek food with an Aegean influence in a lively service focused environment. 

Full-Time Morning Prep chef:
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with purpose, takes pride in organization and consistency, and wants a stable position within a professional kitchen. You'll be responsible for preparing the restaurant for service through a combination of baking, large-scale prep, and maintaining the high standards our team is known for.

Responsibilities:

• Large-volume prep for lunch and dinner service
• Vegetable, protein, and sauce preparation
• Maintaining organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards
• Working independently while communicating with the kitchen team
• Helping ensure the kitchen is set up for a successful day of service

What We're Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Strong knife skills and organizational abilities
• Experience with baking is an asset
• Self-motivated and capable of managing a morning prep list independently
• Positive attitude and a commitment to consistency and quality
