The Opportunity
The Farmhouse is an intimate, rustic Vancouver restaurant featuring Italian fare in a homey, comfortable space.
While Italian flavors brought us here, the bounty of the West Coast keeps us true to our roots. Growers, farmers, and foragers from across the valley stock our kitchen because, for us, the most honest ingredients come from the earth you stand on.
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef with the same passion for food and the hospitality industry as we have! The right candidate will have the opportunity to advance into other positions at The Farmhouse or one of Viaggio’s other award-winning restaurants.
What You’ll Do:
- Prepare and execute menu items, with working knowledge of cooking and finishing pasta dishes, to our quality, presentation, and timing standards.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency at your assigned station.
- Follow recipes, prep lists, and portion standards consistently.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with chefs and fellow team members during service.
- Maintain professionalism and focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Support prep, station setup, and breakdown as needed.
- Assist Chef with other admin duties as required
What You Have:
3+ years of relevant experince
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine
Enthusiastic and committed to serving quality food
Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
Pay: $22 - $25 per hour + Tips. - Job Types: Full-time, Part-time roles available
