Due to COVID-19, the largest and longest-running food and drink festival in British Columbia, Feast of Fields, has been cancelled for 2020.
An annual festival since 1995, Feast of Fields raises funds for FarmFolk CityFolk, a not-for-profit that supports BC's sustainable food system.
In lieu of purchasing a feast ticket this year, the organizers ask that people make a donation if they are able.
With restaurants set to reopen in the province, BC's Restaurant and Food Services Association releases its best practices guideline to ensure the health and safety of guests and staff.
Celebrated by the industry, the announcement will allow for improved liquor margins to support the struggling restaurant industry.
Closure of bars and restaurants, public swimming pools, and playgrounds extended two weeks.
