Location: Onda by Casereccio – Olympic Village, Vancouver

We're looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Shift Lead to join our growing team! If you're passionate about hospitality, enjoy leading by example, and thrive in a fast-paced café and restaurant environment, we'd love to hear from you.

About the Role

As a Shift Lead, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while supporting and motivating the team. You'll be responsible for maintaining service standards, overseeing daily operations, and assisting management in creating a positive and efficient workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the team throughout each shift.
• Ensure outstanding customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Coordinate front-of-house operations, including hosting, service, and barista stations.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor cleanliness, food safety, and health & safety standards.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and efficiently.
• Train, coach, and support new and existing team members.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and collaborative work environment.
• Communicate effectively with management regarding daily operations and any issues that arise.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of hospitality or restaurant experience, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Serving It Right certification (required).
• Valid Canadian Work Permit or legal authorization to work in Canada.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• A positive attitude, professional appearance, and commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality.
