Working at the restaurant was a great experience overall. The environment is energetic and fast-paced, which helped me develop strong teamwork, multitasking, and communication skills. As a server assistant, I supported the servers, cleared tables, restocked supplies, and made sure guests had a smooth dining experience.

The management team was approachable and supportive, and they encouraged staff to grow and learn. The co-workers were friendly, fun, and always willing to help each other during busy shifts. It can get quite hectic during peak hours, but it also teaches you how to handle pressure and stay organized.

The hours were flexible, and the schedule worked well for students or anyone looking for part-time work. You also get to interact with a lot of people, which makes the job enjoyable if you’re social and like being on your feet.

Pros: Great team environment, employee discounts, good management, and a fun and energetic workplace.
Cons: Can be very busy at times, physically demanding during rush hours.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time working at Jack Astor’s Pickering—it’s a great place to gain experience in the restaurant industry and be part of a positive, fast-paced team.

I personally loved working there, I used to go to the restaurant often prior to working there. The food is great and the people you work with are even better!! I definitely enjoyed my experience for the most part.

perfect to learn new skills and enhance the communication skills. But on the other side, a lot of kiok so get too much tired and energy level just fall.
