If you are interested in a career at Burgoo, our Point Grey location is currently hiring Line Cooks to join our team. We like to promote from within and this is a great starting position for those looking to train in and eventually move into Sous Chef and Chef roles.
We are looking for people with good communication skills and positive attitudes who are capable of working calmly in a fast-paced work environment. Candidates must have a flexible schedule & night time availability.
Duties will include:
* Preparing and plating all food orders
* Following line standards to ensure cooking and presentation consistency at all times
* Ensuring a high level of food quality and consistency
* Organizing chits in order of priority
* Communicating plating timing with other line cooks
* Setting up, organizing and restocking mise en place and work station throughout shift
* Assisting in food preparation
* Maintaining a clean and sanitized work area
* Performing opening, changeover and closing duties as outlined by Head Chef
Date Available: September 18th, 2017
Compensation: $12-$18 per hour, plus tips and a staff meal.

Requirements: Food Safe Level 1, Work Permit Necessary
